TenderTips and the shareholder growers employ seasonal staff from mid-September through to Christmas.

For factory staff, we have a small on site campground for motorhomes & caravans. There are several nearby holiday parks with cabins and camping sites available.

Factory Jobs

The work we offer is factory work where you are standing on a concrete floor all day. The work is fairly monotonous so we try to move people around to different tasks through out the day. We usually start the season working part days and rapidly move to a 7 day a week operation. We like people to work 5 or 6 days and preferably one day at the weekends. Normal hours are 7.30am to 5.00 pm.

Our wage rate for the 2010 season is $12.75 per hour plus 8% holiday pay.

We will be starting around 15^th September but will probably not be operating daily  for a week or so after that, depending on the weather. We bring in returning staff initially and then call on new people. Our finishing date depends on weather and crop conditions but is generally in the 3^rd week of December, before Christmas.

Harvester Jobs

Our shareholder growers also employ harvesting crews.

Harvesters;

• Need to be able to start work early in the morning
• Must be able to work up to 7 days per week.
• Need to be fit and able to bend easily. Not suitable for people with back problems.
• Should be able to work outside for up to 6 hours regardless of the weather conditions.
• Be self motivated as payment is by piecework
